Novak Djokovic won the Rome Masters, thanks to an incredible comeback at the end against Robin Haase. Djokovic squandered a match point, trailing Haase 5-3 and making it 6-5 to put the match on serve at deuce. It was Djokovic’s second match point, which he brought up via ace. Haase got it back to 5-4 and Djokovic converted a baseline smash to break Haase to even the match. Djokovic made it 6-5 and then survived a Haase break point at 6-5 to set up the final. Djokovic said that he doesn’t know what to expect and gets set to face Milos Raonic in the French Open final. “It’s going to be a different feeling than I’m used to. I need to go back to my practice of making a specific plan and then doing it well and I need to live through the match — to go through my moment and keep enjoying myself and enjoy the moment.”

The top seed in the Paris Masters championship is Rafael Nadal. Meanwhile, the number two seed, Alexander Zverev, finds himself in the unenviable position of defending his French Open title in Paris. But, with Nadal and Djokovic both out of contention, the 18-year-old is currently on the top seed, ahead of Zverev and Roger Federer.
